An introduction about our research

With the 2020 pandemic and the new global challenges, we faced the need for new ways for human relations so that they are more secure and accessible. During this period, cities fell asleep to stop the spread of Covid 19, since the main form of contamination occurs through the air, which is enhanced in closed environments, especially in public transportation.

Therefore, we can settle a connection between the virus spread and the need for public transportation around the world that may face the problems of overcrowding. In this context, and the trivial need of moving through urban space, we believe that the MaaS (Mobility as a Service) system is a possible response to this issue in a post-pandemic world, aiming to make public transportation more convenient, safer and smarter.
